Fulfillment Policies

Delivery policy

On weekdays, we ship within a day of the order being placed. The cutoff time for orders is normally around 1pm PST. Orders placed on Friday after 1 pm will usually ship on the following Monday. We ship most orders by USPS Priority Mail, but for some orders we may choose to ship by UPS Ground instead. Higher value orders will usually ship UPS Ground with signature required.

The usual delivery time for USPS Priority Mail is 1-4 business days within the US, but there are no guarantees, especially during busier times. We are on the west coast, so if you are in the eastern half of the US, expect delivery time to be 3-5 business days, or possibly longer. For larger orders that will be shipping out by UPS, cutoff time is 2:30pm PST. If you need it faster, contact us to arrange for USPS Express Mail or UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air shipping.

Cancellations

We will happily refund your order the full amount if you decide to cancel the order prior to it being shipped. USPS shipment pickup time is on weekdays usually between 12-1 pm PST, and UPS shipments (primarily used for larger orders or larger items such as Rear Sets) is around 3pm, so if you contact us to cancel or modify your order before then, we can usually do that.

Refunds & Returns

Returns are accepted on SATO RACING products that are in NEW condition. We will refund your credit card for the value of the product . if the parts have been opened up and handled, with visible blemishes, or if it is returned in a manner that causes scratches to the parts while in transit (such as inadequate padding placed between the parts, or parts loose inside the box which causes them to bang against each other), a restocking fee of 10%-20% may be applied to the refund amount. We cannot give refunds on parts that were installed on a bike and used even for a short time, as the part will usually have signs of light wear, such as scratch marks in the finish around the bolt holes, that make it impossible for us to resell the parts. No item may be returned without prior authorization. (We will provide a return authorization number). Items should be returned with all the original packaging if possible. A copy of purchaser's invoice or packing slip must accompany returned packages. No returns accepted after 30 days of receiving the package. Buyer pays return shipping except in cases where a warranty claim is made for the item. Contact Us to arrange a return.

ITEMS NOT RECEIVED

If you didn’t receive your order, such as might happen if it was lost or indefinitely delayed somewhere en route, or if it was mis-delivered to the wrong address, or delivered to the correct address but missing after delivery, we will try our best to help you locate your package. If UPS or USPS loses or damages a package en route, which is rare but it sometimes happens, we can usually send a replacement for the order. Bear in mind that if a tracking number for a package shows it was delivered to the correct address, but you didn’t receive it, we cannot do much from our end. It is the customer’s responsibility to be around when a package is scheduled to arrive. Thi s is important particularly if your shipping address is in an area where postal theft is a common issue. The good news is a missing package does not always mean it was stolen. First try your family members, roommates and neighbors to see if they might have picked it up by mistake. Check your online store confirmation email to verify if the shipping address you entered when placing the order was correct. Also check with your mail carrier or the UPS delivery person to see if they remember delivering the package. If any of your neighbors has a security camera, that might also be helpful in solving the mystery. If you have exhausted all possibilities and it is still missing, then contact your local police to report the package as stolen.
