Rear Sets (Type2) - Ducati 848 / 1098 / 1198
SATO RACING Rear Sets (Type 2) for 2007-13 Ducati 848 / 1098 / 1198 (part# D-1098RS2) feature components precision CNC-machined out of light-weight, high strength anodized billet aluminum, with stainless steel bolts. These premium quality adjustable foot controls provide 8 peg positions so you can find the ideal position for your riding style. The ‘Type2’ version Rear Sets includes an integrated brake pedal. Choice of Black, Silver or Gold* anodized finish.
Details:
The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs have End Caps made of protective high-density black Delrin.
Adjustable Step Plates provides 8 unique Foot Peg positions. (See Position Chart for reference.)
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion resistant black Delrin.
Shifter includes a color-matched shift rod (not pictured in the photos) that utilizes the stock shift arm and rod ends, and can be set up for standard (stock) shifting pattern or Reverse/GP shift pattern. We also sell an optional matching anodized billet aluminum Shift Arm (part# D-CA) that looks great with these Rear Sets, replacing the stock shift arm.
NOTE: Also compatible with DQS (Ducati quickshifter), but is stock shift pattern only (no reverse/GP shift pattern).
These ‘Type2’ Rear Sets includes a Brake Pedal that pivots from the Step Plate, along with a brake rod, brake link and hardware that attaches to the master cylinder, using the stock mount location. Compatible with the stock brake light switch.
Choose from 4 different Heel Guard styles: The original version Heel Guards that have either ‘848’, ‘1098’ or ‘1198’ etched into them, or the New style Heel Guards, which do not have any model numbers etched into them. NOTE: Not all Heel Guard styles are available in all colors. The ‘1198’-etched Heel Guard is only available for the Black anodized Rear Sets.
Rear Sets come partly pre-assembled. Kit includes basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock foot controls. (Consult a shop manual).
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Any factory pre-tightened parts have already had threadlocker applied during assembly).
SATO RACING Rear Sets are designed for track use. We highly recommend installation be done by a certified mechanic.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: The ‘Gold’ rear sets we currently have in stock have a darker shade of Gold anodizing that may appear more orange than true gold in certain lighting.
