SATO RACING Reverse Shift Rear Sets for 2017-20* Yamaha FZ-09 / MT-09/SP / XSR900 models with the optional Yamaha genuine quick-shifter (part# Y-MT0917RS) features components precision CNC-machined from light-weight, high strength anodized billet aluminum. Modular adjustable design provides 6 peg positions Up / Back compared to the stock foot peg position, for a more aggressive position well-suited for spirited riding. These premium track-engineered Rear Sets have a 'street'-friendly design: Fully compatible with the stock brake light switch and ABS. Provides a dedicated reverse (GP-style) shifting pattern. Choice of all-Black anodized finish, or vivid Gold finish with contrasting Black-anodized Base Plates.

Details:

  • The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs have End Caps made of high density black Delrin to help protect them from damage if in contact with the pavement..

  • Adjustable design lets you select from 6 unique peg positions that bring your feet higher up and significantly further back compared to the stock foot pegs. See Position Chart above for adjustment range.

  • The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black DELRIN, and are also adjustable.

  • The shift and brake pedals utilize miniature double stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel.

  • Brake light compatible: includes hardware for attaching the OEM rear brake light pull switch. ABS-friendly design.

  • The Base Plates are made of high strength black-anodized billet aluminum and make use of the swingarm pivot bolt location in the frame for maximum rigidity.

  • The Shift linkage hardware included in the kit is designed for use on models with the Yamaha genuine quick-shifter, providing a dedicated reverse (GP-style) shifting pattern (For stock shift pattern, get Rear Sets part# Y-MT0917RS instead.

  • A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Threadlocker was already applied to any factory pre-tightened parts such as the brake pedal.)

  • Kit includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock controls or the swingarm pivot bolt hardware. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
