SATO RACING Rear Sets for 2017-20 Yamaha YZF-R6 (Part# Y-R617RS) features a track-engineered and competition-proven design, with components precision CNC-machined out of lightweight, high strength anodized billet aluminum. Provides 8 adjustable foot peg positions in a useful range for performance riding on the street or track. These Rear Sets are designed for use with the Yamaha quick shifter, and can be set up for stock shift pattern or reverse (GP-style) shift pattern. 'Street'-friendly design - Compatible with the stock rear brake light switch and ABS. Choice of Black or Gold anodized finish.

Details:

  • High quality, precision CNC-machined billet aluminum, with a deep satin / gloss Black or vivid Gold anodized finish, fastened together with stainless steel bolts / hardware.

  • The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs include End Caps made of protective high-density black Delrin.

  • Foot Peg can be mounted at 8 unique positions on the Step Plate. The peg positions range from near-stock to more aggressive positions that bring your feet higher up and further back compared to stock. (See Position Chart above for the adjustment range).

  • The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black DELRIN, and are also adjustable.

  • The shifter and brake pedal uses miniature double stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel, and pivot on a separate axis from the foot pegs for optimal leverage and to maximize the range of adjustment.

  • The Shift Rod and hardware included in the kit is designed for use with the Yamaha quick-shifter. You can switch from standard (stock) shift pattern to reverse/GP Shift pattern by changing the mounting position of the shift rod on the double-ended shift pedal.

  • Includes a black-anodized aluminum hanger bracket to attach the stock exhaust canister. Bracket can be removed if not needed.

  • A bracket mounted to the back side of the Step Plate lets you attach the stock brake light pull switch.

  • Rear Sets kit comes partly pre-assembled, and includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock set. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.

  • A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Factory pre-tightened parts such as the brake lever have already had threadlocker applied before tightening.)
