Race Concept Rear Sets for KTM RC8 / RC8R (part# KTM-RC8RCRS) features a track-engineered and competition-ready design, with components precision machined out of light-weight, high strength anodized billet aluminum. Modular adjustable design provides 12 unique foot peg positions in a range that brings your significantly higher up and further back compared to stock, for a more aggressive riding position well-suited for the fast straights and steep lean angles encountered on the track. Provides a dedicated reverse shift pattern. Choice of Black anodized finish with Gold accents, or Gold anodized finish with contrasting black anodized Base Plates.
Details:
The foot pegs are fixed type (non-folding) pegs, and have a finely knurled pattern for great grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel.
The heavy-duty Base Plates have a Black anodized finish and provide 6 mounting positions for the Step Plates. The Step Plates also have 2 vertical holes for mounting the foot pegs, for a total of 12 positions higher Up and Back compared to stock. (See Position Chart above).
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of Gold anodized aluminum with fluted black rubber grips.
A high-mounted Shift Pedal is linked to a Reverse Shift Plate that attaches to the stock shift spindle to provide a dedicated reverse shift pattern. NOTE: The photos of the left side also show our RC8 Shift Spindle Holder part# KTM-RC8RS-SHDR. This part is available separately.
Also, the shift pedal depicted in the ‘fit’ photos was an early one-off prototype. The actual shift pedal included in this kit looks like the one in the photo of the black set.
NOTE: The Shift Rod included in the kit is 130mm length, which is a good length if you plan on using the higher and further back mounting positions for the Step Plate on the Base Plate. If you plan on primarily using the lower / forward-most positions, a shorter Shift Rod such as 100mm length may work better for you.
Brake side rear set includes hardware for attaching the stock master cylinder.
This kit is for track use only.
Includes some basic instructions but does not detail how to remove the stock foot controls. (Consult a shop manual)
Kit includes a small tube of threadlocker. (Any Factory pre-tightened parts are already Loctited.)
