(Refurbished) (part# Y-MT09RS-GD-RFB) features components precision CNC-machined from light-weight, high strength anodized billet aluminum. Modular adjustable design provides 8 peg positions Up / Back compared to the stock foot peg position, for a more aggressive position well-suited for spirited riding. These premium track-engineered Rear Sets have a 'street'-friendly design: Fully compatible with the stock brake light switch and ABS. Gold anodized finish with contrasting Black-anodized Base Plates and Shift Pedal.
Details:
The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs have End Caps made of high density black Delrin to help protect them from damage if in contact with the pavement.
Adjustable design lets you select from 8 unique peg positions that bring your feet higher up and significantly further back compared to the stock foot pegs. See Position Chart above for adjustment range.
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black DELRIN, and are also adjustable.
The shift and brake pedals utilize miniature double stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel.
Brake light compatible: includes hardware for attaching the OEM rear brake light pull switch. ABS-friendly design.
The Base Plates are made of high strength black-anodized billet aluminum and make use of the swingarm pivot bolt location in the frame for maximum rigidity.
The Shift linkage has a Black anodized finish. The Shift Pedal has multiple adjustment holes for fine-tuning the shifter feel. The Shift Rod and hardware included in the kit is designed to utilize the stock change arm. You can switch from standard (stock) shift pattern to reverse/GP Shift pattern by adjusting the mounting angle of the OEM change arm*.
NOTE: If your MT09 or XSR900 has the optional Yamaha genuine quickshifter, this model is not recommended. Get part# Y-MT0917RS (for std shift) or part# Y-MT0917RSR (for reverse shift) instead.
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Threadlocker was already applied to any factory pre-tightened parts such as the brake pedal.)
Kit includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock controls or the swingarm pivot bolt hardware. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
